A coming-of-rage tale about what happens when you can’t escape your worst fears.

Charlie has always been haunted by nightmares of faceless creatures standing at the end of her bed. She’s used to wasting away the days in a haze of smoke and hookups with an on-again-off-again fling, Adam. Charlie has also been plagued by migraines since her ex, Vince, caused a car accident eight months ago that impacts the vision in her right eye. When the migraines hit, she starts to see the creatures from her nightmares no matter the time of day.

One afternoon, the faceless creatures trap Charlie in an alley, only to be rescued by a shape-shifting Hellhound pup that stumbles in at the right time. Charlie is sure she’s losing her mind until her ride-or-die best friend, Cassie, sees the same creatures, confirming that the threats are real. Charlie suspects Vince may be behind the attacks, but needs some kind of evidence to confront him. Cassie and Charlie devise a plan to get Vince to admit to his guilt no matter the cost.

The story explores themes of surviving, platonic love, and trust.
